FOR EVERY CHILD AN EDUCATION

Education is a human right. Every child deserves a quality education.

These ideas motivated me to establish For Every Child an Education, a global community that has expanded to 80 youth from seven countries increasing accessibility to quality education for children and teachers.

For Every Child an Education worked with the Cambodian government to enhance their English curriculum workbooks for grades four to six. I coordinated the process, setting specific deadlines with partnering organizations, and governmental education offices. Bringing together members who don’t share geographical, religious, or ethnic backgrounds often led to increased disagreements and misunderstandings.

Eventually, we developed and published workbooks for three grade levels, each 150 pages long, together. Our workbooks are now in the hands of 2,000 students, including students with disabilities at three after-school study groups in Kampot Province. We’ve started similar projects in four other countries. This wouldn’t have been possible without my community uniting through our shared motto: “Leave no one behind.”
